About Raenbow
Rae is a 36 year old disabled female. She lives with multiple chronic illnesses, disorders and disabilities.
She spends her time advocating for those living with and using mobility aids and medical devices, and the disability community in general.
She uses Art in various mediums as her therapy, as well as music and finding positives from negatives.
Since becoming disabled Rae has accomplished many things. She has achieved Distinctions in both Fashion Design & Dressmaking Diploma and Jewellery Making Diploma. She completed 2.8 miles walking with her crutches in 2021 raising over £250 for FND Action and completing just under 11 miles in May 2024 to raise awareness for Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
She lives with Functional Neurological Disorder FND, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome EDS, Sinus Tachycardia ST, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome PoTS, Chronic Migraines, Serotonin Syndrome SS and undiagnosed bowel issues.
Some of these disorders and illnesses leave Rae needing 24/7 care from her husband Chris and using mobility aids to help live her life to the fullest possible.
She uses her love and passion for fashion and art to help her through her darker days and as such has become her own self help therapy.
She makes her own beaded jewellery and accessories, she loves to design and make her own clothes and also loves to customise shop brought clothes for her own style and trend.
